Michelle Shovald Axford launched L Photography by Michelle in 2008 after five years as an amateur photographer. Specializing in on-location lifestyle photography, Michelle has a passion for capturing the essence of everyday life – especially families.

A mother herself, children are Michelle’s muse. “I adore kids and I love to make them laugh,” she says.

Michelle’s approach to photography is straight-forward: “These are life’s special moments,” she says. “I want my clients to be comfortable and carefree. The experience should be fun and enjoyable.”

Michelle also believes strongly in giving back to the community. She donates photo sessions and prints to several charities and to families of children who suffer from life-threatening or debilitating illnesses.

A native of  Iron River, Michigan,  Michelle lives in De Pere, Wisconsin, with her husband, Robert, and daughter, Lauren.
